Daniel Negreanu claimed one of Canada’s largest poker events on Sunday by winning the main event of the BC Open Poker Championships, collecting a payday of $371,910 in the process. ICGPA founder Judge Harold Lee, will be addressing the Flagstaff city counsel December, 3rd with the hopes of being granted a license for the ICGPA sanctioned card room “Aces & eights Club” in Flagstaff, AZ. This would make for a landmark ruling - If granted being the first license issued for a card club in the state of Arizona. November was one of the slowest months (in terms of high stakes action) that we have seen in some time. With growing popularity of Full Tilt Poker’s $2000/4000 limit mixed games we are seeing some new (to online anyway) players like Eli Elezra and David Oppenheim making some big scores. On Tuesday, GigaMedia Limited, which is the exclusive provider of software to online poker room Everest Poker, reported a 24% growth in consolidated net income to $12 million during the third quarter of 2008. The figure was up from $9.7 million during the same period in 2007. Revenues jumped 16% to $45.7 million. In the third quarter of 2007, revenues were $39.3 million. Rounders Report has confirmed that the Kentucky Court of Appeals has granted the request of the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association (iMEGA) to stay a ruling handed down by Judge Thomas Wingate last month. Oral arguments will now be heard in a Louisville courtroom on Friday, December 12th at 10:00am ET in front of the Appeals Court. The motion to stay was granted by Judges Caperton, Keller, and Taylor.
